Full plot (contains spoilers)
In a prison, the three inmates Alois Steindl, Hans and Abdullah take the three employees Gaby, Rosa and Jasna hostage in the prison cafeteria. The three prisoners intend to use the hostages and homemade bombs to force their way to freedom. The criminals are led by Alois Steindl, while the negotiations on the police side are handled by the police officer Alfred “Fredi” Hollerer, who happens to be on duty—at least until the hostage negotiator arrives. However, that will take several hours, which turn into a nightmare for the three women.
