Full plot (contains spoilers)
April O'Neil, a reporter in New York, is saved by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after an attack by thieves. She learns of their existence and their mentor, Splinter, who was mutated by a chemical. The plot thickens as April's supervisor tries to stop her investigation into the Foot Clan, a group of thieves led by the Shredder. The turtles' lair is ransacked, and Splinter is kidnapped by the Foot. April and the turtles eventually team up with Casey Jones, a fellow vigilante. After a period of training and preparation, the turtles, Casey, and a rescued Splinter confront the Shredder. In a final battle on a rooftop, the Shredder is defeated and falls into a garbage truck, which Casey then crushes. The film ends with April's career restored and the turtles celebrating their victory.
