A reporter discovers the existence of a group of mutant turtles while investigating a crime wave in New York City.
The story
In New York State, news reporter April O'Neil investigates a crime wave by a group of criminals called the Foot Clan. While investigating, she witnesses a mysterious vigilante and discovers a hidden symbol. After being caught in a confrontation involving the Foot Clan, she is rescued by four mysterious figures. To her shock, she realizes these vigilantes are actually anthropomorphic mutant turtles. April must navigate the secret of their existence while navigating her professional life and the growing threat posed by the Foot Clan and their leader, Shredder, who seeks to dominate the city.

Reporter April O'Neil investigates the Foot Clan and discovers a group of mutant turtles who protect New York City. She learns about 'Project Renaissance' and the mutagen that created them, and meets their mentor, Splinter. The situation escalates when Shredder and the Foot Clan attack the turtles' sewer lair, capturing several of them. April and the remaining turtle, Raphael, team up to rescue the others from the Sacks estate, where Eric Sacks is attempting to create a serum from their blood. The group eventually confronts Shredder and Sacks at a radio tower. During a final battle, the tower collapses, and the turtles manage to save April while defeating Shredder. The film ends with the turtles returning to their lair and April continuing her life, while the turtles' secret remains safe from the public.
