The story
A year after defeating Shredder, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles learn that the scientist Baxter Stockman is working with Shredder to break him out of prison. As Shredder is moved between prisons, the Foot Clan attacks, and Shredder escapes using a teleportation device. He is intercepted by the alien warlord Krang, who provides him with a mutagenic compound in exchange for help in bringing his war machine, the Technodrome, to Earth. The Turtles must navigate a growing conspiracy involving mutated allies and a looming extraterrestrial threat while keeping their own identities hidden from the public and the authorities.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
A year after defeating Shredder, the Turtles learn that Baxter Stockman is collaborating with him. During a prison transfer, the Foot Clan attacks, and Shredder escapes via a teleportation device. He ends up in another dimension where he meets Krang, an alien warlord. Krang provides a mutagenic compound to Shredder in exchange for help bringing the Technodrome to Earth. Stockman uses the mutagen to transform Bebop and Rocksteady into a warthog and a rhinoceros. The Turtles eventually discover the mutagen and face a dilemma about whether to use it to become human. After a series of battles, including one in the rainforests of Manaus, the Turtles ultimately decide to remain in their mutated forms. They join forces with the police to confront Krang and the Technodrome. They successfully defeat Krang and send the Technodrome back through the portal. The film ends with the Turtles and their allies being honored by the NYPD, though the Turtles choose to remain in the shadows.
