Fifty years after a legendary massacre, a group of young adults encounters a legendary killer while a battle-hardened survivor hunts him down.
The story
Fifty years after the 1973 killings, a group of young entrepreneurs—Melody, Dante, Lila, and Ruth—travel to the abandoned Texas town of Harlow to auction off property for a gentrification project. While inspecting a dilapidated orphanage, they encounter an elderly woman named Ginny. The situation escalates when a mysterious, towering man appears. As the group navigates the decaying property, they are unaware that the legendary killer Leatherface has returned. Meanwhile, Sally Hardesty, a battle-hardened Texas Ranger and the sole survivor of the original massacre, receives word of his return and begins her own investigation to confront the killer once and for all.

In the abandoned town of Harlow, Melody, Dante, Lila, and Ruth are scouting property for a gentrification project. They encounter Ginny, an elderly woman living in an orphanage. After Ginny suffers a heart attack, a mysterious man appears. During the chaos, Ruth is attacked and killed by the man, revealed to be Leatherface, who removes Ginny's face to use as a mask. Nearby, Sally Hardesty, a Texas Ranger and the only survivor of the 1973 massacre, learns of Leatherface's return. At the orphanage, Leatherface brutally attacks Dante and later kills the local mechanic, Richter. Melody and Lila manage to flee but are hunted by Leatherface.
