The story
Andy Stitzer is a shy 40-year-old introvert who works as a stock supervisor at an electronics store. He has lived a secluded life, and his secret remains hidden until a conversation at a poker game with his co-workers, David, Jay, and Cal, reveals his virginity. Upon learning that his coworkers and his boss are aware of his secret, Andy faces a dilemma. His friends, determined to help him, begin offering various, often conflicting, advice on how to navigate the world of dating and sex. The story follows Andy's attempts to navigate these suggestions while trying to maintain his dignity in a public and professional environment.

Andy Stitzer, a 40-year-old stock supervisor at Smart Tech, lives a secluded life with a collection of action figures. During a poker game, his co-workers David, Jay, and Cal discover he is a virgin. After his boss, Paula, also learns and offers to help, the three men commit to helping Andy lose his virginity through various methods, including speed dating, social events, and professional advice. Amidst this, Andy meets Trish Piedmont, a customer. They begin dating and eventually decide to wait until their 20th date to have sex. Meanwhile, his friends deal with their own complications: David faces a breakdown over an ex-girlfriend, and Jay deals with a breakup. On their 20th date, a misunderstanding leads Andy to a nightclub where he ends up with a woman named Beth. After a series of events, including a physical collision with Trish, Andy finally confesses his virginity to her. She accepts him, and they marry in a lavish ceremony funded by the sale of his collectibles, ending the film with a musical sequence.
