The story
In the year 2015, artificial cloning of animals is common, but human cloning is strictly prohibited by 'Sixth Day' laws following a botched attempt. Charter pilot Adam Gibson is hired for a snowboarding excursion by billionaire Michael Drucker, owner of Replacement Technologies. After a series of events involving a dog's death and a deceptive flight, Adam returns home to discover a clone of himself living with his family. He is quickly abducted by Drucker's security team, leading to a desperate struggle to clear his name and protect his loved ones from a conspiracy seeking to keep the illegal cloning a secret.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 2015, human cloning is illegal. Adam Gibson, a charter pilot, is hired by billionaire Michael Drucker of Replacement Technologies. While Drucker's partner is killed by an anti-cloning extremist named Tripp, Adam discovers a clone of himself has been placed in his home. Adam is abducted by Drucker's security, but escapes and discovers that Drucker and his scientist, Dr. Griffin Weir, have perfected illegal human cloning. Weir reveals that Adam's DNA and memories were scanned as a 'syncording' to facilitate cloning. It is revealed that Drucker was already cloned years ago to maintain his fortune. Adam eventually learns that his wife and daughter have been abducted. He confronts Drucker and discovers that he is actually the clone, while the original Adam has also infiltrated the building. The original Adam rescues his family, while the clone fights off agents. Drucker attempts to clone himself again, but the equipment malfunctions, creating a deformed body. Adam and his clone eventually escape together, with the real Adam arranging for the clone to start a new life in Argentina.
