Two years after a satanic cult tried to kill him, Cole Johnson must fight for survival when a secret is unburied and he is hunted by demonic enemies.
The story
Two years after a satanic cult led by his former babysitter, Bee, tried to kill him, Cole Johnson is a junior in high school. He is unable to convince anyone, except for his best friend Melanie, of Bee's life-threatening plot; his parents and most others think he had a psychotic break. After he discovers that his parents have enrolled him in a psychiatric school, he escapes with Melanie, her new boyfriend Jimmy, and their friends Boom-Boom and Diego to attend a lake party.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
At a lake party, Cole witnesses the arrival of Phoebe Atwell. During a boat game, Melanie kills Boom-Boom to sacrifice his blood for a ritual with Jimmy and Diego, who are revealed as cult members. Original cultists Sonya, Allison, Max, and John are resurrected to join them. Phoebe helps Cole escape on her jet ski. After a series of violent encounters where they kill Sonya, Allison, and Max, Cole and Phoebe take refuge in a cabin. Phoebe reveals her parents died in a car accident caused by Bee, who made a deal with the Devil. Melanie lures Cole's father, Archie, to the lake. Cole eventually rescues Phoebe, and Bee reveals she orchestrated the events so Cole and Phoebe could unite. Because Cole had sex with Phoebe, he was no longer 'innocent,' causing the ritual to backfire and the cultists to disintegrate. Bee drinks the blood and disintegrates to save them. Archie finally believes Cole as the sun rises.
