Full plot (contains spoilers)
Ercell Bodden, a former pirate known as 'Bloody Mary,' lives in hiding on Cayman Brac with her son Isaac and sister-in-law Elizabeth. Her peace is shattered when her former lover and rival, Connor, arrives with a crew to claim a bounty on her head. After a skirmish where Connor's men kill several islanders, Ercell retreats to a hidden cave network with her family, revealing her secret past and a cache of gold. She attempts to rescue her husband, T.H., from Connor's custody, but the exchange leads to T.H.'s death and the destruction of the gold. Ercell and her family retreat to the caves, where she uses traps to defeat Connor's men. In a final confrontation on The Bluff, Ercell and Connor duel; Elizabeth intervenes to stop Connor, and Ercell delivers the final blow. As the truth of her identity is revealed to her family, a British fleet appears on the horizon.
