A young boy must team up with his new baby brother, who is secretly a corporate executive, to stop a conspiracy involving puppies.

The story

Tim Templeton, an imaginative 7-year-old boy, is shocked when his new baby brother, known as 'the Boss Baby', arrives. The infant wears a suit and acts like an adult when parents are away. After Tim discovers the baby's secret life, he is grounded and forced to stay with him. The two eventually learn that the baby is on a secret mission for 'Baby Corp' to combat the declining love for babies due to the rise of puppies. When the baby's mission is threatened by a rival corporation, the two boys must work together to protect their family and the future of babies.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Tim Templeton, a 7-year-old boy, discovers his new baby brother is actually a corporate spy for 'Baby Corp' who acts like an adult when parents are away. The baby is on a mission to combat the popularity of puppies. After being grounded together, the boys learn that if the baby fails his mission, he will be forced to stay as a normal baby. They team up and travel to a conference in Las Vegas where they encounter the villainous Francis E. Francis, a former Baby Corp executive who wants to create 'Forever Puppies' to take all the love from babies. After a frantic journey involving a plane of Elvis impersonators, the boys defeat Francis, who is turned back into a baby. The Boss Baby initially returns to his corporate life but eventually chooses to stay with Tim as his brother, realizing love is not something to be divided. Years later, an adult Tim tells this story to his daughter, who discovers her new baby sister is also an employee of Baby Corp.
