The story

The Brady Bunch Movie is an alternate reality tale where the original sitcom characters are transported into a contemporary 1990s setting. While maintaining their 1970s fashion and conservative values, the family faces a modern crisis: their home is at risk of repossession due to unpaid property taxes. Mike Brady, a successful architect, must contend with a conman neighbor, Larry Dittmeyer, who is actively trying to sabotage the family's efforts to keep their house. As the family struggles to adapt to their more liberal surroundings and navigate various personal hurdles, they must find a way to raise the necessary funds to save their home before they are forced to move out.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

In a 1990s setting, the Brady family maintains their 1970s lifestyle and values while facing a crisis: their home is at risk of foreclosure due to a $20,000 tax debt. Their neighbor, a conman named Larry Dittmeyer, is attempting to seize their property to build a shopping mall. The children face various personal struggles: Jan is jealous of Marcia, Cindy is a tattletale, and Greg wants to be a singer. Peter is navigating puberty and trying to win the affection of a girl named Holly. After Mike's architectural designs are sabotaged by Larry, the family enters a 'Search for the Stars' contest to win the prize money. During the search, Jan gets lost and is found by a trucker. In the contest, the children perform a dated set but win the favor of judges Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, and Peter Tork. They win the contest, pay the tax bill, and foil Larry's plans. The film ends with Carol's mother convincing Jan to stop her jealousy and Cindy feeling envious of Jan.
