Two siblings and their cousin embark on a perilous voyage across the seas of Narnia to rescue lost lords and confront a corrupting evil.

The story

Three Narnian years and one Earth year after the events of Prince Caspian, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are staying with their irritating cousin Eustace Scrubb while their older siblings are in America. When a painting of a ship on the ocean transports the trio into the waters of Narnia, they are rescued by the Dawn Treader. They join the new king, Caspian, on a voyage to rescue seven lost lords who were exiled by his uncle Miraz. As they travel toward the world's far end, each character faces personal tests of faith and courage while attempting to save Narnia from a corrupting evil on a dark island.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Following the events of Prince Caspian, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are joined by their cousin Eustace Scrubb in Narnia after they are transported through a painting of a ship. They join King Caspian on the Dawn Treader to rescue seven lost lords and defeat a corrupting evil. During the voyage, the group encounters various perils: Edmund and Caspian are imprisoned, while Lucy and Eustace are sold as slaves. They eventually reach the Lone Islands and the Dark Island. Eustace is cursed and transformed into a dragon, a form he maintains for much of the journey. On the Dark Island, the mist manifests as the White Witch to test Edmund. The crew eventually reaches Aslan's Table, where they must place the lords' swords to break the mist. After a final battle with a sea serpent, the mist is destroyed. The journey concludes at a mysterious shore where Aslan appears. He tells the siblings they are now too old to return to Narnia, while Eustace is told he may return one day. The trio is transported back to their bedroom in the human world.
