A wealthy, temperamental figure skater is paired with an injury-sidelined hockey player to compete in the Olympics.
The story
Kate Moseley is a world-class figure skater who is considered impossible to work with due to her spoiled attitude. After a collision with U.S. ice hockey captain Doug Dorsey leaves him with a permanent head injury, Doug is forced to find a new path. Kate's new coach, Anton Pamchenko, seeks an outsider to partner with her and finds Doug working in a steel mill. Despite Doug's macho contempt for figure skating, he agrees to join her. The two must overcome their mutual animosity and different work ethics as they train for the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France.
