A group of friends must fight for their lives against a predatory bull shark while trapped inside a treacherous underwater cave system.
The story
Sara organizes a graduation trip to Thailand for her friends to explore The Devil's Mouth, a cave her late father loved. During the journey, tensions rise as Max pressures Sara to abandon her career goals for a life in Los Angeles. After a series of mishaps on the boat, the group ventures into the cave system with a local guide. However, the expedition takes a dangerous turn when they choose a perilous route. As they delve deeper into the flooded cave, the group must confront the dangers of the environment and the presence of a predatory bull shark lurking in the depths.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
During the expedition, the group faces internal conflict and external threats. A bull shark kills Greg and injures Adrienne. The group attempts to escape through narrow tunnels, but several members are lost to the shark or environmental hazards. After a series of desperate maneuvers, Sara and Max are the only survivors left in the cave. They eventually find a way to the surface, with Sara ultimately escaping the cave and finding land. The film concludes with Sara emerging from a final opening to the surface.
