Full plot (contains spoilers)
At a secluded winery in Sicily, Robert McCall eliminates the gangster Lorenzo Vitale to secure a key to a vault. After being shot and subsequently rescued by a local carabiniere, he is taken to the town of Altamonte. While recovering, McCall discovers that the Camorra, led by the Quaranta brothers, is terrorizing the locals to seize their land. After the Camorra firebombs a local shop, McCall intervenes, eventually killing Marco Quaranta. When the other brother, Vincent, threatens the town and the local police, McCall reveals himself to the public. He later infiltrates Vincent's mansion, neutralizing his guards and forcing Vincent into a drug-induced collapse. Following the conflict, McCall ensures a local couple receives their stolen funds and reconciles with his contact at the CIA, who is revealed to be the daughter of a former colleague.
