An aging actor's deteriorating mental state on a horror movie set leads his daughter to fear a sinister supernatural possession.

The story

In New York City, actor Anthony Miller is hired by a demanding director to replace a deceased actor in a supernatural horror film called The Georgetown Project. Anthony, who struggles with alcoholism and past trauma, begins exhibiting bizarre and frightening behaviors on set, including self-harm and sleepwalking. His daughter Lee, who serves as his personal assistant, becomes increasingly worried about his condition. As Anthony's behavior escalates into apparent possession, Lee seeks help from a Catholic priest and psychiatrist who serves as a consultant for the film, leading to a desperate situation where they must determine if his plight is psychological or spiritual.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

In New York City, actor Anthony Miller is hired to replace an actor killed by a supernatural force in the film 'The Georgetown Project.' Anthony, an alcoholic and victim of past abuse, begins acting as if possessed on set, contorting his body and slamming his head. His daughter Lee, his assistant, notices his self-harm and sleepwalking. Lee and a popular actress friend consult Father Conor, a priest and psychiatrist. After Anthony's behavior worsens and he is replaced by a co-star who is also killed by a phantom, Anthony attacks Lee and jumps from a window. Father Conor decides to perform an exorcism. While on set, Miller (having survived the fall) ridicules Lee's prayers. Lee manages to burn him with a crucifix, snapping Conor and the actress out of a paralysis. Conor offers himself to the demon, and after being possessed, is stabbed by Miller with the crucifix. Lee and the actress join in the exorcism rite. Conor catches fire, the demon is defeated, and Miller returns to Catholicism. The film ends with Miller and Lee reconciling, with Miller reflecting on the grace of forgiveness.
