The story
Simon and Robyn Callem move to Los Angeles, where Simon takes a new job. Their transition to a new life is interrupted when they encounter Gordon "Gordo" Moseley, a high school classmate of Simon's. Gordo begins making unannounced visits and bringing gifts, creating an unsettling atmosphere. While Robyn initially views his presence as harmless, Simon becomes increasingly uncomfortable with the man's persistence. The tension escalates as the couple tries to navigate the implications of Gordo's presence in their lives, unaware of the depth of the history between the two men and the consequences of past actions.

After moving to Los Angeles, Simon and Robyn Callem are confronted by Simon's former classmate, Gordo. Gordo's presence becomes increasingly intrusive, and a dinner party reveals a series of lies regarding his personal life. Following a series of unsettling events, including the death of gifted koi and the disappearance of their dog, the truth of their past is revealed: Simon had bullied Gordo in high school and fabricated a story about him being molested. When Robyn discovers this, she confronts Simon, who offers a hollow apology. The situation culminates in a violent confrontation between the men. Following a series of events including a pregnancy and a physical altercation, Simon is confronted with evidence that Gordo has been stalking them. The film ends with a tense standoff where Gordo reveals he has been recording them and has potentially assaulted Robyn, leaving Simon's life and marriage in ruins while Gordo walks away satisfied with his revenge.
