When his superior, Carmichael, refuses to acknowledge the truth, Six is forced to go on the run. He is pursued by Lloyd Hansen, a sociopathic former agent hired to retrieve the drive. Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 2003, Courtland Gentry is recruited into the CIA's 'Sierra' program as an assassin. In 2021, as 'Sierra Six,' he and agent Dani Miranda are in Bangkok to eliminate a target. After the target reveals he was also in the Sierra program, he gives Six a drive detailing the corruption of official Denny Carmichael. When Carmichael refuses to cooperate, Six seeks help from former handler Margaret Cahill in Prague. Carmichael hires sociopathic ex-agent Lloyd Hansen to retrieve the drive. Hansen kidnaps Fitzroy's niece, Claire, to force Fitzroy to authorize Six's death. Six escapes and travels to Vienna, where he is hunted by Hansen's teams. He eventually reaches Cahill, who destroys her home to help them escape. After a series of skirmishes and a chase through Prague, Six and Miranda find Claire. They are intercepted by 'Lone Wolf,' a mercenary who eventually surrenders the drive to Miranda. In a final confrontation at Hansen's base, Fitzroy sacrifices himself to stop Hansen. Hansen is eventually killed by Suzanne Brewer. Six and Miranda agree to a cover-up regarding Carmichael's actions, and Six eventually escapes with Claire to an unknown location.
