The story
The plot follows a motley crew of thieves who plan to steal gold from a former associate who double-crossed them. The team, consisting of a master thief, a fixer, a computer expert, a wheelman, an explosives expert, and an inside man, targets $35 million worth of gold bars in Venice. After a successful heist, they are betrayed by a member of their group, who steals the gold and leaves them for dead. A year later, the core team reunites to track down the traitor and reclaim the stolen gold, leading to a high-stakes pursuit across the streets of Los Angeles.

After a successful heist in Venice, the team is betrayed by Steve Frazelli, who steals the gold and kills John Bridger. A year later, Charlie Croker reunites the team and recruits John's daughter, Stella, to track Steve down in Los Angeles. They discover Steve is laundering the gold through a jeweler. The team plans to steal the gold from Steve's mansion using three modified Mini Coopers. During the operation, they face complications including a neighbor's party and a high-speed chase through Los Angeles. They eventually intercept a truck carrying the gold and successfully reclaim it. In the final confrontation, the team faces Steve and his henchmen, eventually securing the gold and ensuring Steve is captured by the Ukrainian mafia. The team members use their share of the gold for personal rewards, while Charlie and Stella travel to Venice together.
