Elle must navigate complex romantic tensions and personal growth during a final summer at the beach house before heading to college.

The story

After graduation, Elle is torn between attending Berkeley or Harvard while her boyfriend Noah already plans for their life together. When Noah and Lee's parents announce the sale of their childhood beach house, the group spends the summer there preparing for the move. While Lee plans a long-distance future with his girlfriend Rachel, Elle faces a looming deadline for Berkeley. Tensions rise as Elle struggles to balance her feelings for both brothers, deal with her father's new girlfriend, and navigate her own identity before the summer ends.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Elle is undecided between Berkeley and Harvard while Noah plans their future. They spend the summer at the beach house to prepare for its sale. Elle struggles to balance her feelings for Noah and his brother Lee, while also dealing with her father's new girlfriend, Linda. After a series of conflicts, including a physical altercation between Noah and Marco (who still has feelings for Elle), Noah breaks up with Elle because he fears she is only choosing Harvard for him. Heartbroken, Elle eventually reconciles with her father and Lee. She realizes she hasn't prioritized her own happiness and decides to apply to the University of Southern California to study game design. Six years later, Elle returns to town to find she and Lee are still best friends, and Lee is engaged to Rachel. She reunites with Noah, who reveals he has job offers in LA and NYC, and they suggest a motorcycle ride, hinting at a potential rekindling of their relationship.
