The story

During Japan's occupation of The Philippines in World War II, Japanese boy Kimon Matsuda witnesses the murder of his parents by American soldiers from the 75th Rangers infantry. When questioned by Captain Kimbro of the Rangers about the woman's death, Corporal Steadman shoots Kimbro and blames the death on "the Jap woman".
