An immortal witch-hunter must stop a plague from ravaging the world while confronting the legacy of a cursed queen.
The story
Eight hundred years ago, the Witch Queen unleashed the Black Plague to wipe out humanity, but a band of knights managed to impale her. Before dying, the Queen cursed a knight named Kaulder with eternal life. In the present day, Kaulder serves as a witch-hunter for an organization called the Axe and Cross, tasked with maintaining the truce between humans and witches. When the 36th Dolan, a priest who assists Kaulder, is murdered, Kaulder and a young apprentice begin investigating the crime, discovering traces of old dark magic that suggest a much larger threat is returning.
