Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1879, mining tycoon Bartholomew Bogue seizes Rose Creek, forcing residents into forced labor and polluting their water. After Bogue's men murder several locals, the town's women seek out a group of warriors to defend them. They recruit Sam Chisholm and six others: Joshua Faraday, Vasquez, Goodnight Robicheaux, Billy Rocks, Jack Horne, and Red Harvest. The Seven enter the town, defeat the local guards, and spend a week training the townspeople for an upcoming siege. During this time, Robicheaux leaves due to fear, and Emma takes his place. When Bogue's army attacks, the town's defenses are tested. Several of the Seven are wounded or killed, including Faraday and Robicheaux, who are caught in a Gatling gun's fire. In a final stand at the church, Red Harvest kills a mercenary, and Faraday destroys the Gatling gun with dynamite. Chisholm eventually confronts Bogue, who is then finished off by Emma. The survivors are left to celebrate their victory as the heroes are honored.
