Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his ward Grogu are hired by the New Republic to rescue Rotta the Hutt from the moon Shakari. Rotta, a gladiator who refuses to be rescued, is eventually forced into a fight against monsters in a pit. Mando manages to free him but is forced to flee as the arena is flooded. During their escape, they learn that the crime-lord Janu is actually the warlord Commander Coin. After a series of complications involving the Hutt Twins and a treacherous journey to Nal Hutta, Mando is captured and left for dead in a pool of venomous creatures. Grogu saves him with an antidote, and the pair eventually tracks down the Hutt Twins. In a final confrontation, Mando and Grogu defeat the twins, who are consumed by a Dragonsnake, while the New Republic arrives to secure the area.
