Three heroes with linked light-based powers must team up to stop a villain from destabilizing the universe.
The story
After a cosmic anomaly caused by the Kree leader Dar-Benn creates a rift in the universe, three women with unique light-based abilities—Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan—find their powers linked through quantum entanglement. Every time they use their abilities simultaneously, they swap locations. To prevent Dar-Benn from further destabilizing the universe and destroying planets to restore her home world, the three must form a team known as 'the Marvels.' They must navigate the complexities of their shared power and work together to stop the Kree's destructive actions while dealing with the consequences of their interconnected abilities.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Following the destruction of the Supreme Intelligence, the Kree leader Dar-Benn uses a Quantum Band to create a jump point, causing a massive anomaly. This event links the powers of Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan; the three begin swapping places whenever they use their powers at once. They form a team called 'the Marvels' to stop Dar-Benn, who is systematically draining planets to restore the atmosphere of Hala. The team travels to the water planet Aladna to warn Danvers's husband, but Dar-Benn arrives and siphons the planet's water. In a final confrontation, Dar-Benn attempts to use both Quantum Bands to harness the energy of Earth's sun, but the attempt destroys her and leaves a rift in reality. Kamala and Danvers work together to empower Rambeau, who successfully closes the rift but remains on the other side. The film ends with Kamala seeking out other young heroes, while a mid-credits scene shows Rambeau in a parallel universe meeting an alternate version of her mother and the mutant scientist Hank McCoy.
