Full plot (contains spoilers)
In 1983, the murder of Walter West by Bruce Pierce and Gary Yarbrough sets the stage for an FBI investigation. Agent Terry Husk, seeking a manageable caseload, takes over a case involving the Aryan Nations and its offshoots. Working with Deputy Jamie Bowen, Husk investigates a series of crimes including a robbery in Spokane and a bombing. They discover West's body and visit a compound belonging to Richard Butler. Butler reveals that Pierce and Yarbrough were expelled for counterfeiting money and are now part of a splinter group called 'the Order,' led by Robert Jay Mathews. The group uses 'The Turner Diaries' as a manual for revolution. After a series of escalating crimes, including the assassination of a radio host and a high-stakes armored truck robbery, the investigation leads to a confrontation. A shootout occurs where Yarbrough is captured and Bowen is killed by Mathews. The final standoff occurs at a safe house on Whidbey Island. While Pierce and Lane are captured, Mathews remains and is eventually killed when a cache of ammunition explodes during a tactical raid.
