The story
When J.J. Doherty, an employee at the corrupt pharmaceutical company BTH, attempts to leak secret information to an investigative reporter, they are attacked by the Killer Nutz gang. While the reporter is killed, J.J. escapes, infuriating the gang's manager. Meanwhile, Winston Gooze, a struggling janitor at BTH, tries to support his stepson, Wade, while battling a personal illness. After being caught in a series of unfortunate events involving toxic waste and a desperate attempt to steal medicine, Winston is transformed into a mutated being. Now, he must navigate his new existence while facing the threats posed by the powerful BTH corporation.

After being caught in a toxic waste spill while trying to steal medicine for his illness, Winston Gooze is transformed into a mutated being known as the Toxic Avenger. He discovers his new powers while trying to protect his community from the corrupt BTH corporation. When the corporation's henchmen, the Killer Nutz, kidnap his neighbors and his stepson Wade, Winston must use his abilities to fight back. The conflict escalates when the BTH owner, Bob Garbinger, consumes a serum derived from Winston's blood to gain powers, leading to a violent confrontation. Ultimately, Winston defeats the corporate villains, his condition is cured by his mutation, and he is hailed as a hero, finally establishing a bond with his stepson.
