The story
The story follows a mild-mannered dentist as he travels to Chicago to inform a mob boss about the whereabouts of his new neighbor, a former hitman with a price on his head. After discovering that his neighbor, Jimmy "the Tulip" Tudeski, is an infamous Chicago contract killer, the dentist, Oz, finds himself caught between the demands of his wife and the dangers of the criminal underworld. When he travels to Chicago to settle the matter, he must navigate a web of secrets involving a mob enforcer, a desperate woman, and the reality of his own precarious situation.

Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky, a dentist in Montreal, discovers his new neighbor is Jimmy "the Tulip" Tudeski, a notorious hitman. His wife, Sophie, pressures him to turn Jimmy over to a mob boss, Janni Gogolak, for a reward. In Chicago, Oz meets Janni's enforcer, Frankie, and later meets Cynthia, Jimmy's estranged wife. Oz and Cynthia sleep together and decide to protect each other. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Frankie plan to kill Janni and Cynthia to claim a $10 million trust. Oz's assistant, Jill, reveals she is also a hitman. A chaotic confrontation occurs when Janni's gang arrives at Oz's house; Jill, Jimmy, and Frankie kill Janni's men. During the chaos, Sophie's hitman is revealed to be an undercover detective who is killed. Oz and Cynthia manage to escape and set a plan to frame the deaths as a hit on Janni and Jimmy. After a series of events, including a deal to share the money, Oz and Cynthia end up together, while Jimmy and Jill leave together. The film ends with Oz and Cynthia dancing above Niagara Falls.
