Full plot (contains spoilers)
Frank MacGay, a time traveler from the fifth millennium, visits the writer Laura Luna in Berlin. He had read her book “Tiger-Striped Baby Waits for Tarzan” and was so enthusiastic about it that he undertook the time journey. Frank says that he worked as a professor of archaeology and that, in his time, women had become extinct, while men had become immortal. Since Frank MacGay has no money but instead has 100 gold bars with him, gangsters are soon after them. During a drive on the motorway, they manage to shake off the car pursuing them. Laura and Frank therefore visit Louise, who lives in the countryside. There Laura can devote herself to her book project in peace. Louise and Laura also have sex with each other there. Both women court Frank, and he gets them both pregnant in a ménage à trois. Frank, meanwhile, takes a liking to a snake he names Elisabeth and feeds live mice. At the same time, Laura finishes her next novel and, as a reward, receives from her father the country house where the three of them are staying. Laura’s partner grows suspicious because of her long absence and eventually lies in wait for her outside the country house. Out of jealousy, he shoots the three of them while they are having sex together. Laura dies, Frank disappears mysteriously, and Louise survives, injured. At the end, Louise is seen with her newborn child at her friend Laura’s grave.
