A group of students exploring a cave in Texas discover a terrifying time distortion that spans thousands of years.

The story

After an archaeology professor named Hopper goes missing while investigating a cave system in a remote area of Texas, his graduate students—Taylor and Jackie—set out to find him. They are joined by their friend Cara, her sister Veeves, and their friend Furby. Upon entering the cave, the group encounters bizarre and dangerous events involving significant time and space distortions. As they navigate the subterranean labyrinth, they realize the environment is behaving unpredictably, forcing them to contend with physical hazards and the unsettling reality of the temporal anomalies they have stumbled into.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Archaeology professor Hopper disappears while searching for 1970s hippies in a Texas cave system. His students, Taylor and Jackie, team up with Cara, Veeves, and Furby to find him. Inside the cave, they discover Furby is dead and find his recordings, which reveal the hippies were Hopper's parents seeking the Fountain of Youth. Taylor deduces the cave contains a time distortion where seconds outside equal years inside. They encounter a tribe of cavemen and a futuristic 8-foot-tall humanoid spaceman who protects them from the cavemen but dies from the toxic cave air. The spaceman reveals humans have resettled on Mars. Taylor finds Hopper, who is dying near the source of the distortion—a waterfall where a battle between conquistadors and cavemen is frozen in time. Hopper tells Taylor to save the others. Cara is pulled through a portal by a futuristically dressed entity. Finally, Furby, Hopper, and his family are resurrected by healing waters, and the group reunites on a space station.
