Full plot (contains spoilers)
During a DEA raid on a drug tunnel in El Paso, Texas, an agent is killed. The children of the agents, including Cody and Jesse, form a group of friends. Following the raid, Jesse's family faces financial ruin. To help, Cody and his friends begin robbing 'trap houses' using their parents' equipment like night vision goggles. After a successful but small heist, they rob a truck filled with drugs, which alerts the criminal boss, Benito Cabrera. Cabrera's sister, Natalia, moves to El Paso to manage operations. Cody's girlfriend, Teresa, is the daughter of Natalia. When Teresa discovers Cody's involvement, Natalia kidnaps Cody's friend Deni. Ray, Cody's father, tracks Cody's phone and eventually kills both Benito and Natalia, making it appear as though Cody was kidnapped. In the aftermath, the friends reunite with Jesse, while Teresa remains nearby, preparing to deal with her grandfather's medical condition.
