A woman becomes trapped in a terrifying, repetitive cycle while aboard a derelict ocean liner.
The story
Jess, a single mother, takes her friend and a group of friends on a boating trip. When a sudden storm forces them to abandon their vessel, they take refuge on a nearby derelict ocean liner. As they explore the ship, they begin to experience unsettling occurrences and become convinced that they are being stalked by an unknown presence. The atmosphere grows increasingly tense as the group realizes they may not be alone on the decaying ship, and the boundaries of reality begin to blur.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Jess, a mother to an autistic son, joins friends on a boat trip. After a storm capsizes their boat, they board the 'Aeolus', a derelict ocean liner. Jess experiences déjà vu and finds signs of others' presence. After a series of violent encounters and deaths among the group, Jess discovers she is caught in a time loop. She finds evidence of her own actions and realizes that the cycle repeats every time the 'new' group of survivors boards the ship. She eventually takes on the role of the masked stalker to try and break the cycle. After a final confrontation, she finds herself back on land, having 'replaced' her past self. She eventually realizes she is still trapped in a loop when she sees a pile of dead seagulls, and after a fatal crash, she finds herself back on the boat, starting the cycle once more.
