Poppy and Branch must embark on a quest to rescue a captured brother and reunite a disbanded boyband.
The story
Following the events of Trolls World Tour, Poppy and Branch attend a wedding in Bergen Town. They are interrupted by John Dory, who reveals that Branch's brother, Floyd, has been captured by two teenagers seeking to use his essence to become pop stars. Because the only way to break the diamond container holding Floyd is the 'Perfect Family Harmony,' Branch must reluctantly agree to help John Dory find his estranged brothers. The group sets off on a journey to locate the siblings, facing various obstacles and allies along the way to save Floyd before his essence is completely depleted.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
In a flashback, Branch and his four brothers were a boyband called BroZone, but they split up after failing to achieve the 'Perfect Family Harmony.' In the present, John Dory informs Poppy and Branch that Floyd has been captured by Velvet and Veneer, who are using his essence to power their music. The group travels to find the brothers: they find Spruce (now Bruce) at Vacay Island and Clay at a Bergen miniature golf course, where Poppy meets her long-lost sister, Viva. While the group travels, Velvet and Veneer prepare to capture the entire band. After a series of conflicts and a reunion with the brothers, the group reaches Mount Rageous. They face a final confrontation where they must perform the Perfect Family Harmony to free the brothers and save Floyd. They succeed, Floyd is revived, the villains are imprisoned, and the film ends with a celebration of the reunited BroZone and the band Kismet.
