The story
Kate Carter works in Oklahoma with a team of storm chasers. After a devastating event where her team is caught in an intensifying EF5 tornado, she moves to New York City. Five years later, she is drawn back to Oklahoma by her former colleague, Javi, to test a new 3D tornado scanning system. She joins his team, which eventually crosses paths with a high-profile, social-media-savvy storm chaser named Tyler Owens. As a massive tornado outbreak is predicted, the two rival groups must navigate the dangers of the storm while dealing with conflicting motivations and the high stakes of their research.

After a tragic tornado event in Oklahoma, Kate Carter works in New York until Javi, her former colleague, recruits her to test a 3D scanning system in Oklahoma. She joins his team, Storm Par, and encounters Tyler Owens, a popular 'Tornado Wrangler' who is also in the area for a predicted outbreak. The two groups initially clash but eventually find common ground while dealing with a series of intensifying storms. After a series of events, including a tornado that strikes an oil refinery and becomes a massive EF5, the teams must work together to save residents in the path of the storm. Kate eventually leads a daring mission into the heart of a massive tornado to deploy experimental chemicals and beads to weaken it. The mission succeeds, and the film ends with Kate, Javi, and Tyler forming a new partnership in the storm-chasing world.
