Max is offended and frustrated after learning that his longtime colleague Erna Mischke has been appointed dispatcher—and thus his superior—without telling him. The two fall out. Max no longer wants to hold his anniversary celebration at the Lindeneck. But because he does not want to hurt the young barmaid Ramona Besenbrenner, he decides to go ahead with the party after all, disguising it as Mario and Monika’s engagement celebration. Marlene Kleinschmidt is put in charge of the Lindeneck for a week so she can prepare Max’s celebration. This also makes her Ramona’s superior, but Marlene thinks Ramona is not up to the task of hosting such an important event properly. Marlene has found a new partner in Hugo Krüger. Repeated attempts are made to reconcile Erna and Max, but they all fail. Meanwhile, Marlene learns that her partner Hugo has a son named Mario, who is finally planning to get engaged to Monika, Ferdinand’s daughter. Her lemon-yellow Trabant is destroyed and can be taken to the scrapyard. Horst and Waltraut also turn up; Waltraut goes with Jens to the hospital, where Constanze gives birth. When the family is happily informed by phone, it turns out she has had twins. Erna, Waltraut, Marlene, and Hertha have to keep an eye on their men, who are attracted to Ramona, who is not shy about flaunting her charms. At last, Hugo Krüger disguises himself and poses as Erna’s mother, Frau Mirelli, managing to reconcile Erna and Max. In the end, Max’s anniversary is celebrated merrily.
