Un Mundo Misterioso (2011)

At the beginning of the film, which is set in Buenos Aires, Boris and Ana are lying in bed together one morning when she tells him that they should separate for a while. He responds only by asking how much time she means, and repeats the question several times. Boris moves into a hotel and now has to figure out life on his own. He buys an old car made in Romania, but it keeps having mechanical problems. Through an old friend from school, he falls in with a circle of friends. At their party, he seems confused and does not really fit in. Toward morning, he kisses Odette before she leaves with the other friends for Montevideo, Uruguay, where they plan to spend New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day together. Boris is supposed to join them later. His car has a major breakdown, so he takes it to a repair shop. Boris starts taking the bus and following women on the street. The first goes to her boyfriend; he follows the second to a bar and then to a casino. They spend the night together in his hotel room. Boris then sets off for Uruguay. But no one meets him at the port, so he returns and spends New Year’s Eve with his mechanic. When his car is working again, he drives home to Ana. While he is upstairs in the apartment, his car is stolen, but he does nothing about it and simply watches. At the end, Boris and Ana sit together on the bed, holding hands as they listen to a record.
