The story
Orphaned brothers Sam and Nathan "Nate" Drake are caught trying to steal a map made after the Magellan expedition from a Boston museum. Fifteen years later, Nate works as a bartender in New York City. He is recruited by Victor "Sully" Sullivan, a fortune hunter who worked with Sam, to find the man who vanished while searching for treasure hidden by the Magellan crew. The duo must navigate a dangerous race against a corrupt billionaire and a mercenary leader to locate the fabled treasure of the Magellan expedition, starting with the theft of a golden cross linked to the voyage.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a childhood spent as orphans, Sam and Nate Drake are caught stealing a map from a museum. Sam disappears, leaving Nate with a ring. Years later, Nate meets Sully, who reveals Sam vanished while searching for the Magellan treasure. They team up to find him, competing against Santiago Moncada and his mercenary leader, Jo Braddock. They travel to Barcelona to find a hidden crypt, where they find a map to the Philippines. After a betrayal by Sully's contact, Chloe Frazer, and the discovery that Sam was likely killed by Braddock, Nate and Sully team up to reach the treasure. They eventually reach the Philippines, where Nate discovers the true location via Sam's postcards. In a final confrontation, Nate and Sully defeat Braddock's forces. While Braddock is killed, Nate and Sully escape with some treasure. In a mid-credits scene, Nate meets a man offering a 'Nazi map' in exchange for his ring, and they are cornered by an unknown figure.
