The story
Petra is a cheeky schoolgirl who enjoys annoying her teacher, Dr. Nolte, nicknamed Hannibal. Determined to earn her pilot’s license, she encounters a barrier: girls are not allowed at the flight school. Petra responds by disguising herself as a boy and joining the school, where she falls in love with her flight instructor, Garry Brandt. Meanwhile, insurance salesman Harry Weber arrives to seek a pilot’s license as well. Harry is the twin brother of Petra’s school principal, Oskar Weber, and their close resemblance soon creates confusion.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Cheeky Petra, who especially enjoys annoying her teacher Dr. Nolte, nicknamed Hannibal, at school, is determined to get her pilot’s license. But since girls are not allowed at the flight school, she quickly disguises herself as a boy and falls in love with her flight instructor, Garry Brandt. At the same time, insurance salesman Harry Weber, the twin brother of Petra’s school principal, Oskar Weber, also turns up to get his pilot’s license. Because he looks so much like the principal, considerable confusion ensues. His affair with a dancer in particular nearly breaks up his twin brother’s marriage. At last, the twins meet, and things calm down again. Garry, too, has long since seen through Petra’s secret, and once she receives her pilot’s license, she no longer needs to disguise herself.
