The story
In 1991, the Smallbone family moves from Sydney, Australia, to Nashville, Tennessee, following the collapse of David's music company and a significant financial loss. Seeking a new beginning, David and his wife, Helen, struggle to settle into their new home while facing daunting financial challenges and the difficulties of starting over in a foreign country. Despite these hardships, Helen's unwavering faith and David's determination provide the family with resilience. As they navigate their new life, David eventually considers pursuing a record label contract for his daughter Rebecca, whose vocal talents have been recognized by their friends.

In 1991, the Smallbone family moves from Sydney, Australia, to Nashville, Tennessee, after David's music company collapses following a $500,000 loss from a failed concert tour. The family, including David, Helen, and their six children—Rebecca, Daniel, Ben, Joel, Luke, and Joshua—faces significant financial struggles and the difficulty of adjusting to a new country. Helen's faith and David's determination keep the family moving forward. Despite his previous disappointments in the music industry, David eventually agrees to seek a record label contract for his daughter Rebecca, who has notable vocal talent. The story follows their journey as Joel and Luke eventually form the musical duo For King & Country, while Rebecca goes on to have a successful career as a Christian recording artist.
