A group of friends becomes trapped in a mysterious time loop while searching for a missing girl in a remote area.
The story
Clover and her friends—Max, Nina, Megan, and Abe—travel to the remote mining town of Glore Valley to search for Clover's missing sister, Melanie. Following a lead to a local visitor center during a heavy storm, the group finds themselves trapped. They soon discover that the night is repeating; every time they are killed by a mysterious assailant or supernatural forces, the day restarts. They must navigate the dangers of the town and the mechanics of the loop, realizing they have a limited number of 'do-overs' before the cycle ends permanently. To survive, they must find a way to break the cycle and escape the escalating threats lurking in the shadows of the valley.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
While searching for Melanie in Glore Valley, the group is attacked by a masked man and supernatural forces. They discover they are in a time loop where death restarts the night. Over several iterations, they encounter a man turned into a wendigo, a mysterious man named Hill who claims to be a therapist, and various monsters. They learn that the town sank into the ground and Hill is running experiments where the monsters are manifestations of Clover's fears. On the final night, they realize Megan is alive in the tunnels. Clover eventually confronts Hill in a sanatorium, where she discovers the truth about the experiments. She manages to kill Hill by making him drink poisoned water, allowing the group to escape the tunnels just as the sun rises. The film ends with a shot of a different location, suggesting the cycle continues elsewhere.
