The story
Franziska runs her father’s watchmaking shop in a small town on Lake Starnberg. Her childhood sweetheart, Benedict, a lawyer, returns to his hometown, and they are drawn to each other. Their fathers had been best friends, but their shared history is complicated: Martin Bordin was present when Franziska’s father died in an accident.

Franziska runs her father’s watchmaking shop in a small town on Lake Starnberg. Her childhood sweetheart, Benedict, a lawyer, returns to his hometown. The two are drawn to each other. Their fathers had also been best friends. However, Martin Bordin was present when Franziska’s father died in an accident. Franziska’s father had cheated on his wife with her best friend. Over time, Lilo and Martin, as well as Henry and Susi, also find their way to each other.
