The film follows multiple intertwining storylines on Valentine's Day. Reed Bennett, a florist, is dumped by his fiancée Morley Clarkson shortly after a proposal. Meanwhile, Kate Hazeltine, a soldier on leave, meets Holden Wilson on a flight to LA. Julia, a teacher, falls for Dr. Harrison Copeland, only to discover he is married; she eventually confronts him at a restaurant. A young boy named Edison tries to navigate his feelings for a classmate, while his babysitter Grace faces a mishap with her boyfriend Alex.
