Vier minus drei (2026)

Barbara and her partner Heli work as professional clowns. Their happiness at home is complete with their children, Thimo and Fini. Barbara is a hospital clown who brings color to the hospital’s gray routine with her painted face and red nose. One day, while driving home from Graz, Barbara gets a call in the car from her friend Sabine. There has been an accident. Heli is dead, and the children are in hospital with serious injuries. The doctor, Jürgen Schreiner, explains to Barbara that Thimo had to be resuscitated, while Fini suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and was placed in an induced coma. When Barbara leaves the hospital for only a short time, Fini dies. Barbara invites her clown friends to the funeral. From then on, Barbara has to manage alone in her large house. When she wants to go back to work, she is not welcome, because no one wants a clown who has just lost her family to play with children. She wants to deal with her grief courageously and unconventionally, throw herself back into life, and feel something again....
