Vivants (2023)

At the end of her audiovisual studies, Gabrielle gets an internship on the reporting team of Reporters, a television program, through a recommendation. She learns the tricks of the camera operator’s trade after first getting her feet wet as the person in charge of equipment. There, she discovers a world of passionate, creative and supportive journalists, who are confronted with the profound changes transforming their profession, partly as a result of the rise of digital media. As cost-cutting measures continue to mount, major reports from all corners of the world give way to coverage of fashion shows and social issues in the Paris region. Despite their commitment, they will have to face difficulties and disappointments that will lead to the program being cancelled after fifteen years of success. Thanks to her involvement with the team, Gabrielle will find a real, paid camera-operator position working for a Belgian television correspondent who is a friend of Vincent, the editor-in-chief of Reporters.
