The story
Wendy, a young horse lover, lives with her parents at Rosenborg, her grandmother Herta’s riding stable, which is close to financial ruin. Hoping to save it with prize money, Wendy plans to enter a major show-jumping competition organized by the owner of the modern St. Georg stable. Her own horse, Dixie, is not suited to show jumping, so Wendy gets the chance to ride Penny, a former competition horse that has become reluctant to jump. Wendy realizes she must earn Penny’s trust before the competition. As she spends more time with Penny, she temporarily neglects Dixie.
