The story
At the turn of the century in Austria-Hungary, a small town is preparing to host maneuvers by the imperial army. Concerned about soldiers meeting the students of a local girls’ boarding school, its owner, Comtesse Julia, bans visits from men. The students nevertheless seek ways to approach the uniformed men. Blonde Kathi plans to use an upcoming visit to her sick aunt Irene, who lives in the neighboring barracks with her husband, Colonel Bodo, for other purposes. Accompanied by her friends Ilona and Nina, Kathi sets off toward the barracks, hoping for amorous adventures with the soldiers.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Austria-Hungary at the turn of the century. A small town is soon to host maneuvers by the imperial army. Since soldiers are men too, and there is a boarding school for young ladies in town—whose students, as soon becomes clear, are willing to undress and are exceptionally attractive and shapely—appropriate precautions are taken. The aim is to prevent any unwanted sexual encounters should desire flare up among men and women. The school’s owner, Comtesse Julia, therefore bans visits from men. But the pert young women, who prefer to go about bare-breasted, know how to get close to the attractive men in uniform. Blonde Kathi, for example, plans to use an upcoming visit to her sick aunt Irene for other, quite “indecent” activities. Her aunt is the wife of the regimental commander, Colonel Bodo, and lives in the neighboring barracks. Together with her friends Ilona and Nina, Kathi sets off to enjoy one or two amorous adventures with the dashing men in uniform. The young men are happy to let the three beauties into their barracks room, and soon they all end up in bed. Watchtowers, hay barns, and the occasional outdoor spot are also put to use for sex. But when Aunt Irene suddenly gets better, the young people’s dissolute antics are brought to an abrupt—if temporary—end. The maneuvers then get underway, once again making possible a number of pleasurable encounters in bed. Now the soldiers no longer stop short of the strict girls’ boarding school, either: the young men promptly declare the “conquest” of this previously chaste institution of learning and upbringing, now dubbed a “pleasure palace,” to be their objective in the maneuvers. The confusion reaches its peak when the sergeant is mistaken for the head of the boarding school and the postman for the captain.
