The sale proves somewhat difficult because Luise, her uncle’s housekeeper, has a lifelong right to live on the farm, and the property is listed as a historic monument. Town councilor Ebert sets the farm on fire to speed up the sale. Valentin, the local veterinarian, helps her through all these problems. When Wolfgang separates from his wife, Fee returns to Berlin.
