A quiet drifter finds himself trapped in an abandoned family entertainment center where the animatronic mascots are possessed by the souls of a cannibalistic killer and his colleagues.
The story
When his vehicle breaks down outside Hayesville, Nevada, a quiet drifter is picked up by a local mechanic who takes him to Willy's Wonderland, a once-successful abandoned family entertainment center. The restaurant's owner offers him work as a night-shift janitor in exchange for repairing his vehicle before locking him inside. However, the drifter soon discovers that the restaurant's eight withered animatronic mascots are sentient and homicidal. While the janitor begins his duties, a group of teenagers attempts to intervene, leading to a violent confrontation between the humans and the possessed machines.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After his car breaks down in Hayesville, Nevada, a drifter is hired by Tex Macadoo to clean Willy's Wonderland as a night-shift janitor. He is locked inside with eight animatronic mascots: Willy Weasel, Arty Alligator, Cammy Chameleon, Ozzie Ostrich, Tito Turtle, Knighty Knight, Gus Gorilla, and Siren Sara. The mascots are actually possessed by the souls of Jerry Robert Willis, a serial killer who performed a satanic ritual with his cannibalistic colleagues before committing suicide. The janitor fights off the animatronics, killing Ozzie and Gus. Meanwhile, a teenager named Liv Hawthorne and her friends enter the building to rescue the janitor. During the chaos, several friends are killed by the animatronics. The sheriff, Eloise Lund, reveals that the owners had been using drifters as human sacrifices to appease the mascots for years. In the final confrontation, the janitor kills most of the animatronics, including the leader, Willy. The next morning, the owners find the restaurant clean and the mascots gone. However, Sara appears and blows up the owners' car, killing them, while the janitor and Liv escape the town.
