Two professional fixers who prefer to work alone are forced into an uneasy partnership to handle a high-stakes mess involving a dead body and a drug shipment.
The story
When a Manhattan District Attorney finds a young man dead in her hotel room, she hires a professional fixer to handle the situation. However, due to the hotel's strict security and the D.A.'s career stakes, a second fixer is also brought in. Despite their mutual preference to work alone, the two men are forced to collaborate to manage the body and the complications arising from a large stash of drugs found in the victim's belongings. They must navigate a web of secrets involving the local drug trade while trying to keep the incident from escalating into a public scandal.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
After a District Attorney's fixer and a hotel's fixer are forced to work together to dispose of a body, they discover the victim is alive but overdosing. They take him to a clinic where he escapes, leading to a chase through the city. They eventually learn the victim was involved with a drug shipment stolen from the Albanian mafia. They navigate a dangerous nightclub where they are nearly caught by a Russian mobster, and eventually reach a warehouse where they find that various criminal factions have already eliminated each other. They decide to let the victim complete a delivery, but after a series of events, they realize their employer orchestrated the entire situation to ensure they would be caught in the crossfire. The film ends with the two fixers and the victim in a diner, where they prepare to fight off an incoming group of hitmen.
