A demigod must journey into the underworld to rescue his father, the king of the gods, from a rising ancient threat.

The story

Ten years after the events of the previous film, the demigod Perseus lives as a fisherman. However, the gods are losing their power because humanity has stopped praying to them, causing the walls of Tartarus to weaken and the imprisoned Titans to become a threat. When the gods lose control over the imprisoned Titans, Perseus is called to action. He must navigate a dangerous quest to rescue his father, Zeus, and stop the Titans from overwhelming the world. To do so, he must find allies and navigate the treacherous path to the underworld to confront the rising threat and save mankind.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Ten years after defeating Hades' Kraken, Perseus lives as a fisherman with his son Heleus. Zeus visits him, warning that the gods are becoming mortal due to a lack of prayers, and the walls of Tartarus are failing. After Poseidon is injured in a fight against Hades and Ares, he tells Perseus to find his son Agenor to reach Hephaestus. Perseus, Andromeda, and Agenor travel to find Hephaestus, who reveals the three weapons of the gods can form the Spear of Trium to defeat the Titan Kronos. After several battles and the death of Hephaestus, they enter Tartarus. Perseus rescues Zeus from the clutches of the other gods. He eventually faces Ares in a duel and defeats him. While Zeus and Hades hold off the awakening Kronos, Perseus uses the Spear of Trium to strike the Titan's heart, destroying him. Zeus dies of his wounds, and Perseus returns to his life, passing his sword to his son Heleus.
